Nestled in Banff National Park, a short drive from Banff, Johnston Canyon’s lower falls is a must-do hike in the area. It’s around 3 hours round trip, which makes it incredibly accessible to any hiking skill level. This waterfall is along the walk and you might miss it! it’s tucked below the trail and requires a mindful eye to spot the trail which diverts to it. Check out the Lower falls checkpoint below!

I love showing friends around the Rockies; their awe and enthusiasm of the magnitude is refreshing to me! A steady stream of tourists flow in and out of this spot during the summer, but we had a miraculous 10 minute opening where we had this place all to ourselves!
