Hiking at Lake Louise is amazing, due to its hiking accessibility and dramatic peaks. While it is one of the most visited hiking areas near Banff National Park, there’s a secret lake hidden behind the south mountain range. Lake Agnes is a small mountain lake in the Banff National Park. With a trailhead at the lakefront of Lake Louise, this is an easy way to get some incredible views.
With a teahouse situated right along the eastern shore, you can stop for a morning or afternoon coffee with a world-renowned landscape. This time we hiked up the groomed trail to the lakefront in the winter, so the teahouse was closed. BUT we did catch the lake before it froze over, so I count that as a big win.
