Only the most committed are willing to wake up at 4 am for sunrise but time and time again they never disappoint! For me, Crater Lake was one of those times.  Located in Crater lake National Park, you know this is a must-see destination near the border of Oregon and California. (After all, it has an entire NATIONAL PARK named after it.) You’ll want to be there in the morning for sunrise or in the evening at sunset. 

Make sure to plan your visit while you’re in the national park. When we went, we stayed close by at the Little Crater Lake Campground. Being in such a beautiful part of the country is a privilege so keep the greater Crater Lake area cleaner than you found it!
