The City of Squamish has some of the most beautiful heli tours in the world. This lake is only accessible by helicopter or boat across the Howe Sound Inlet. You’ll need to prepare for this one, there’s no doubt.
week @CaleyVanular, in partnership with Bumble BFF & Bumble Bizz, collected a group of old and new friends to celebrate Friendsgiving like never before; in one of British Columbia’s most beautiful locations!
How To Camp At Lake Lovely Water
Lake Lovely Water has camping facilities, although there are just a few walk-in campsites surrounding the lake. They are all user-maintained, so always pack out everything you bring in. Two pit toilets have been erected at Lake Lovely Water; like the camping sites, these are user-maintained, and you must bring your own toilet paper and sanitising supplies. According to BC Parks, the lake water is drinkable, however it is strongly recommended that it be filtered, boiled, or otherwise treated before consumption.
Day One:
We met at the Squamish airfield to connect before flying up to Lake Lovely Water in a helicopter with Sea To Sky Air. You can see their full guide to visiting lake lovely water here.
Arriving in style, we landed for the night at lake Lovely Water in a remote area of the Howe Sound. This fresh water lake sits 3800 ft above sea level in one of British Columbia’s stunning mountain ranges.
After taking in the views and going for a swim in the lake, we sat down for a friends–giving potluck dinner like no other! Big thanks to Bumble Canada and Bumble BFF for bringing us all together to celebrate friends new and old.
